Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)--- People certainly loved today's warm up....but so did many animals.

On Monday animals at Lake Superior Zoo were having some fun in the sun, able to stretch out on the ground and soak in those rays.

The zoo has been really busy these past couple of days since the temperatures have been warming up.

The animals and zookeepers are happy to get this extra attention.

" They have missed the people. I'm sure and are excited to see different people coming through everyday. Little kids coming by, they love to chase after little kids, or try to," said Rachel Meili, Carnivore Zookeeper at the Lake Superior Zoo.

Don't feel too bad for the animals for enduring the more extreme weather we've seen...zookeepers say the animals actually enjoy the winter weather because of their natural coats.
