Apparent Murder, Suicide in Virginia Leaves Two People Dead

VIRGINIA, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Saturday at 8 p.m., the Virginia Police Department responded to 1814 Wolf Road to investigate an unknown trouble.

The 911 Dispatcher stated a female is screaming for help.

Minutes later, a caller stated a male just shot his wife.

The Virginia Officers were on scene and after an initial investigation were able to determine 51-year-old Kimberly Grew, and her estranged husband 54-year-old Brian Grew, both from Virginia, were both deceased from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

After speaking with witnesses and investigation at the scene by Law Enforcement Officers it was determined Brian Grew shot his estranged wife Kimberly Grew and then shot himself.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

The Virginia Police Department was assisted by the St. Louis County Sheriffs Office, Minnesota State Patrol and other area law enforcement agencies.
