Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) - The South Shore continues to dig out from a weekend winter wallop.

More than two feet of snow fell in Ashland prompting a snow emergency in the city on Sunday.

Some snow drifts are four or five feet high.

Private plow drivers say they're working around the clock to keep up with the snow.

"The first guys went out at 10 o'clock Sunday morning for some flurries. At Walmart, if we get any sort of snow fall, we keep guys there at all times and they stay there. Their relief came at 3 this morning and we haven't left since," said Chris O'Connell, the owner of CWO Auto.

Ashland Police say the snow created some travel difficulties, but had no major issues.
