Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Authorities have expanded their search efforts for a missing Duluth woman.

On Friday, the Saint Louis County Search and Rescue team brought in the mobile command and canine unit to assist in their effort to locate 74-year old Dale Gerard who went missing from her Wesley Residence home last Saturday.

The team targeted their search in the wooded neighborhood of 25th Ave West from 3rd street to 10th street in the Lincoln Park district.

Authorities say approaching the one week mark of her disappearance, timing is crucial for people to search through every area.

"We're really hoping that people will check their out-buildings of their properties here in the West End, any boats anything that someone could have possibly crawled in and maybe could just be hiding, so if there is anything on your property that someone could be hiding we want to check that," said Capt. Tom Crossmon, St. Louis County Sheriff.

Gerard is 5'5" and weighs 155 pounds. She has brown eyes and red, auburn hair. Authorities say she has red marks on her chin, nose and cheeks. If you see her, the family asks that you call 911 immediately.
