Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The New Year means the arrival of new year babies, and that was the case this morning for a couple from the Iron Range.
Jessie and Alison Schuety welcomed Gilbert David Schuety into the world at 12:41 am.
They first went to Deer River Hospital and had to be transported to Essentia St. Mary's by helicopter for an emergency c–section.
Gilbert was born at 33 weeks and was supposed to be due on February 19.
He weighs three pounds, two ounces and is 16 inches long.
Despite the early arrival mom and baby Gilbert are doing well.
