Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - After 40 nights of burning bright, another season of Bentleville's tour of Lights has come to an end.

The night of Bentleyville was marked by the Warmer by the Lake celebration put on by the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation.

Ice–skating, marshmallow roasting, and live entertainment lasted for most of the day and wrapped up with a grand firework show on the Bayfront at 6:30 tonight.

Bentleyville's Founder, Nathan Bentley, gave us his thoughts on how this year compared to events in the past.

"It's been a good year. Our tenant has been a little over 203 thousand people. We've given out lots of coffee, hot chocolate, seen lots of smiles. Santa Clause gave out his 15 thousand hats to children...its been a good year," Nathan Bentley, Bentleyville Founder, said.

We asked Bentley about his motivation to come back for three more years.

The founder said the public support was overwhelming and despite several disruptions at the event this season, community members told him they want the event to return.

By disruptions, Bentley was referring to a legal battle with lay preachers who voiced their beliefs within festival grounds, which at times using mega–phones to share their message with visitors.
