Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- The 128 foot tree that lit up Bayfront Park for the last month came down Saturday.

Volunteer crews took down the iconic Bentlyville tree in three 40 foot sections. It took them about four hours to completely dismantle the tree.

It sparkled with 100,000 LED lights, this year.
Now the lights along with the tree will be put in storage on lot D near the waterfront.

"The tree is four years old, it was built for us, we paid for all the materials. The materials were sold to us at cost and the iron workers welded it together here on site and it now comes apart in the 40 foot sections," said Nathan Bentley, Executive Director of Bentleyville.

Organizers say next year they are going to make some changes to the tree to make it even more spectacular.
