Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- After three years of planning and construction, the Canal Park Brewing Company in Duluth's Canal Park expects to open by mid October.
This week, contractors are turning on utilities inside the nearly $4 million building.
Brewers expect to start boiling water by the end of next week and brewing beer by the end of September.
Twenty to 30 styles of craft ale and lager beers will be brewed each year.
Eight crafts will be on tap at all times.
The pub will also serve a full menu, including a burger with a fried egg.
"We are not trying to be a cookie cutter place," Badger Colish, Head Brewer of CPB said. "We are not trying to be just a stamp brew pub. We are trying to create an open space so that it can be like Duluth's living room."
Guests will have the option to sit outside on the patio next to a fire and enjoy the view of Lake Superior or sit inside the home room style interior dining area.
