INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MINN. --- It's the biggest summer event for a sleepy northern town.

This weekend, hundreds of frenzied anglers are making a big splash on the Canadian Border. It's all part of the 6th Annual International Falls Bass Championship.

The quest for a legendary bronze-back began Friday morning at 8 a.m.

On the beautiful waters of Rainy Lake and Rainy River, 60 teams of top anglers from across the Midwest gathered for a two-day, two-person, contest on two bodies of water.

Their goal: to take on the elusive small-mouth bass... a sleek, fast-fighting game-fish.

Not your average contest, the I-Falls bass championship is an event that brings the entire community together for what some say is the biggest celebration of the summer... and that's no fish tale!
