While on site at the Lester River Rendezvous Congressman Chip Cravaack was able to discuss job creation and the economy with the people of the eighth district.
Cravaack said he wanted to focus on creating more jobs for the 8Th District, but did not support the newly proposed bill from President Obama.
Cravaack said some components in the bill would hurt Americans more than help them.
During his visit, the congressman took time to hear from many of those from the 8Th district and answer what he plans to do about jobs.
"Unfortunately it's beating back government regulation. There's a lot of government regulation that is directly affecting our forestry, a lot of government regulations affecting our mining, and that is the 8Th District of Minnesota...tourism, taconite and tipper. And that is what I constantly beat back on a daily basis," Cravaack says.
Cravaack also discussed healthcare and retirement with constituents.
