Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --The halls of Fitger's Plaza were filled with people judging which puppy deserved to be named the cutest.

Puppies wagged their tails and obeyed commands in hopes of getting votes.

The contest was put on by the Beargrease Sled Dog race and 'A Place for Fido' located in Fitgers.

Ice, a Malmute Huskie, won the title for cutest puppy, but she had some experienced and fierce competitors.

"We took our old dog there once named Pixi and she was a doxin too and we just did it because we thought it would be fun for the dogs," said Grace Osterin, owner of two five month old doxins.

The Beargrease sled dog race kicks off Sunday.
