Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - DECC officials in Duluth have announced they will no longer serve as a ticket pickup location for events outside of the DECC.
For the past 15 years the DECC has served as ticket pick up location for any event.
Now, people can only get tickets at the ticket lobby for events held at the entertainment center.
The decision came following a year–long observation period which showed a steep decline in the number of ticket–buyers visiting the DECC to pick up tickets.
DECC officials attribute the change to an increase in electronic and alternative methods of ticket delivery.
"A lot of people are finding with technology, which is obviously driving our industry now, more mobile ticketing, social media ticketing, people are joining fan clubs and things like that. It's definitely effected the, you know, in person walk–ups," said Ticketing Director, Debbie Aleff
People can still go to the Miller Hill Mall guest services counter to pick up tickets for events held outside the DECC.
