Duluth Kennel Club Dog Show Showcases Thousands of Dogs

DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) ---Thousands of dogs on their best behavior are strutting their stuff this weekend.

More than 1,000 dogs from across the state are showcasing their talents at the annual Duluth Kennel Club Dog Show at the DECC.

About 140 different breeds of dogs on and off leashes are jumping, retrieving, dropping, and obeying their handler's commands.

It's a competition to take home titles for categories such as best in breed, obedience and best in show.

Specialty dog related items including food, treats, toys, shampoos, leashes, kennels are on sale .

Dogs competing are 15 months of age or older.

The show runs through Sunday.
