Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) A 46 year old Duluth Man has pleaded guilty to one of the charges he was facing from a standoff in Duluth's Lakeside neighborhood last spring.

John Gerard Facciotto broke into his neighbor's house, on North Fifty First Avenue East, brandishing a knife and threatening a seventeen year old girl.

The girl was able to run out of her house and alert authorities.

Facciotto then ran back into his house and refused to come out.

After a six hour standoff police got the man out of the home using a can of tear gas and a flash bang grenade.

Facciotto pleaded guilty to First Degree Burglary with a dangerous weapon, but two other charges of attempted first degree criminal sexual conduct, and Second Degree Assault with a dangerous weapon, were dropped.

He will be sentenced next month.
