DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - It's a place with some of the best views of Duluth and the Enger Park Gazebo is officially open to visitors.
Mayor Don Ness and other community members cut the ribbon on the new structure Thursday afternoon.
The Timbers Guild helped build the gazebo which is part of an ongoing project to improve Enger Park.
"We want to make Enger Park the premiere park in all of northern Minnesota and because of the natural amenities that this park has, we think that we will accomplish that," said Mayor Ness.
A donation from the Julia Newell Marshal fund helped to make the gazebo possible.
Other recent work at Enger Park includes landscaping the grounds and restoring Enger Tower.
