Hermantown, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Superior man who faced sub-zero temperatures for two days after he got lost snowmobiling is now facing his medical bills.
Family and friends of Craig Friebe are hoping they can help him with those medical expenses.
They hosted a fundraiser at Foster's Sportsbar and Grill in Hermantown Sunday to raise money to cover Friebe's medical expenses.
Friebe is currently in the hospital recovering from severe frost bite, which took several of his toes. Friends say he does not have insurance.
Organizers of the event at Foster's, where Friebe is a cook, sold t–shirts and held a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to raise money. They say it's the least they can do.
"He's part of the Foster's family and that's what we try to incorporate here," said owner, Pete Kilroy, "He's a very integral part of Foster's and the way we are around here."
"For him to be here today is a shear miracle and we have this for him and he deserves every bit of it," said Friebe's wife, Becky Friebe.
Donations to help Friebe can still be made at Foster's Sportsbar.
