Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -Authorities responded to a call at 2117 W. 3rd Street just before 4PM.
Once on scene, crews found smoke coming from windows on the first floor of the building.
They were told no one was living on that floor, but were unsure if anyone else was in the house.
They later determined the building was completely empty.
Traffic was blocked off around the area as fire fighters battled the blaze.
Authorities say they are unsure what started the fire.
