Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Duluth City Council discussed five local businesses that sold alcohol to minors at tonight's agenda meeting.

The five businesses that sold liquor to underage consumers are the Ridgeview Country Club, Last Chance Liquor, University Liquor, Osaka Sushi and Hibachi Steakhouse, and Azteca's Mexican Grill.

All the businesses with the exception of Last Chance Liquor received a 500 dollar fine.

City Council member Garry Krause asked that all be fined the same amount and to amend the item for next week's vote.

"They broke the law. They served a minor. And I don't see why we'd remove one and reduce their fine to 100 dollars when we kept everybody across the board for the exact same violations at 500 dollars. And I think they should be fined just like the rest involved," Garry Krause, a Culuth City Council Board member, said.

Board members will vote on Monday if all business will be required to pay the same amount.
