Fond du Lac Band Chairwoman appointed to presidential task force

Washington, D.C. (NNCNOW.com) - The Chairwoman of the Fond du Lac Band has been appointed to serve on a presidential climate change task force.

On Friday, Karen Diver was appointed by President Obama to serve on the Climate Change Task Force aimed at preparing communities across the country for dealing with the impacts of climate change.

Diver is one of 26 representatives from across the country chosen.

The task force will provide recommendations to states, cities and tribal communities on updating building codes, and planning for rapid recovery following natural disasters.
