Girl Ejected From Car Without the Knowledge of Driver and Passenger

(Northland's NewsCenter) --- After being ejected from the back seat of a car without the knowledge of the others she was riding with, a northern Minnesota girl is suffering only minor injuries.

Authorities from the MN State Patrol say 72-year-old, Louise Ericksen of Baudette was driving on Highway 72 in Beltrami County around 10:30 Sunday morning.

Erickson lost control of the car and landed in a ditch just north of Blackduck.

As the car was driving on the slope of the ditch, a no passing sign struck the driver's side rear door and broke the door window.

Kendall Erickson, a 15-year-old girl from Baudette was ejected out of the broken window.

The driver drove the car out of the ditch and continued onward.

When she realized Kendall was missing, she drove back to the scene of the accident and found Kendall standing alongside the ditch.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident.

Ashley Ericksen, a 18-year-old girl was a passenger in the car.
