Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- If you've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell, then we've got just the place for you.

Ten familiar faces from the Twin Port's are set to take the stage at Grandma's Sports Garden Thursday to give it their all on the cowbell.

The celebrity "More Cowbell" competition is in its third year, with all proceeds going toward the Northern Lights Foundation.

It's the biggest and arguably most fun fundraiser for the foundation.

"It's just a lot of fun, lot of good entertainment, people competing with the cowbell with the Lake City Smoking Section band, good food provided by the Grandma's Restaurants, nice silent auction, it's a fun event," said Ken Larson, founder of the Northern Lights Foundation.

All of the proceeds will go to Northland families who have a child that's battling a life threatening illness.

Among the contestants hitting the stage this Thursday night; the Northland's NewsCenter's LeAnn Wallace.

Tickets are $10 dollars at the door and doors open at 5pm. The contestants are scheduled to hit the stage at 7pm.

Other Northern Lights fundraisers include Tracee Lundeen's Christmas By The Lakes CD and the annual Guns-n-Hoses softball challenge.
