Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Haines Road reconstruction project in Duluth is getting recognition on the national level.
The American Public Works Association named the project the best Disaster or Emergency Construction Repair Project of the Year.
Run-off from heavy rains during the 2012 floods caused significant damage, forcing the closure of Haines Road.
The $12M project is the largest individual road construction project for St. Louis County Public Works.
The award is based on construction management, safety and environmental protection.
