HERMANTOWN, MINN. --- Starting Thursday, Hermantown residents will no longer be allowed to sell or use synthetic marijuana within city limits.
Hermantown's city council voted 4 to 0 Monday night to ban K2 substances.
The city joins Duluth and Superior in the effort to ban synthetic weed in the Twin Ports.
The Grand Rapids city council is expected to vote next week on a ban of its own.
On Wednesday, Duluthian Jim Carlson filed a federal lawsuit against the city of Duluth in response to the new ordinance.
