Hermantown, MN (Northlands NewsCenter)
-- Hermantown bars and liquor stores passed with flying colors in a compliance check by the Hermantown Police Department.

Authorities sent underage decoys into 12 on and off sale Hermantown businesses in an attempt to make an illegal alcohol purchase.

None of the decoys carried a driver's license.

All of the establishments asked for identification and refused to sell without proof of age.

Authorities credit a strong relationship between Hermantown police and the community with the perfect compliance score.

"They have had more face to face with the law enforcement agency in our city, more awareness and more help in educating training to employees or managers." said Hermantown Patrol Sargent Bill Marsolek.

Hermantown police are not finished yet.

All those retailers that were closed during the string will be checked at an unspecified later date
