Duluth, Minn (NNCNOW.com) - School rivalry was put on hold on Thursday, all in support of a Denfeld student battling brain cancer.

Supporters packed Sills Arena in Duluth donning white t-shirts supporting 16-year-old Morgan Long, a Denfeld High School student battling brain cancer.

Mayor Don Ness proclaimed January 30th, as Morgan Long Day.
Morgan, who's been battling the disease since her first diagnosis at 17 months old, says she is overwhelmed by the support from the community and close friends.

"It makes us feel good that everyone can set aside their differences and rivalries and just be here for Morgan. It's a great cause."

In honor of Morgan, Clyde Iron Works offered the "Morgan Burger," her favorite bacon cheeseburger, with all proceeds going to the Long family medical fund.
