Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - House DFL leaders talked jobs and bonding at a meeting in Duluth Saturday afternoon.

They discussed their economic proposals and how their job and bonding bills would specifically help the Northland.

DFL leaders say their $800 million bonding proposal would help create almost 23,000 jobs across the state.

"[If you] take a look at this bonding bill and take a look at this jobs bill and really our whole overall budget that we'll come up with, I think you'll see that it's really about making a strategic investment in Minnesota," said Rep. Erik Simonson (District 7B).

Also in attendance was Speaker of the House Paul Thissen and Duluth Mayor Don Ness.
