Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.COM) - The Iron Range man who rammed into a state trooper's vehicle while fleeing authorities has pleaded guilty to use of deadly force against a police officer.

Kevin Michael Korte, 34, was arrested in May after he hit a mailbox in Virginia, rammed and disabled a state trooper's vehicle, then led authorities on a high speed chase.

The trooper opened fire on Korte's vehicle, but did not hit him.

Korte is scheduled to be sentenced in March.
