Barron County, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Authorities confirm that they have arrested the fugitive Wisconsin police officer after he lead officials on a manhunt on Tuesday.

Bradley Young, an officer with the Waupun Police Department, was taken into custody around 5pm and is being taken to Burnett County jail. Officials say he was arrested without incident.

Young was wanted for allegedly burglarizing a restaurant Monday night and stealing a pick up truck. The Sheriff's Office says there was also a high speed chase that ended when the suspect took off on foot into a wooded area just west of Rice Lake, WI.

Homes near the search area were temporarily evacuated and authorities urged residents to stay alert during the search.
