DULUTH, MN (Northland's Newscenter) - UMD will soon have new maroon and gold street signs lining the campus grounds.

The unveiling of the new design took place this evening at Ordean Court.

The elimination of the old green and white signs has already started.

"We wanted to make sure that community members knew where campus is. A lot of people don't really know where campus starts and where campus finishes. We just want to make it very clear that this is Bulldog country," TJ Kiewatt, UMD Student, said.

Mayor Don Ness attended the ceremony along with Senator Roger Reinert ,UMD faculty and students.

The event kicks off the UMD Homecoming as the Bulldogs prepare to take on Bemidji State this Saturday.
