DULUTH, MN (Norhtland's NewsCenter) - The weather went into meltdown mode Saturday, bringing lots of Northlanders up off the couch and into the outdoors.

Just one week ago the streets in the area were covered by almost a foot of snow in some spots. Now only a week later the Northland looking more like spring time.

Meteorologist Dave Anderson says high temperatures went into the 50s for most of the Northland.

Residents hit up the outdoors today to soak up some sunshine, while others enjoyed what still remains of the snow, before it disappears again.

"It's like you say a few weeks ago we got a foot and a half of snow and some cold weather and here we are back to the nice weather again so that's good. Make the most of it and enjoy it, " said Ren Elsted.

"Because you'll never know what tomorrow will bring," said Sue Elsted.

Meteorologist Dave Anderson will have the entire weather forecast at 10 p.m.
