Northland Men Sentenced For Marijuana Grow Operation

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Four Northland men learned their fate in Federal Court Wednesday after being found guilty of running a massive marijuana grow operation.

More than 925 marijuana plants were sized at various grow sites throughout the investigation.

60 year old David Donald Foote of Duluth was sentenced to 60 months in prison on one count of conspiracy to manufacture 100 or more marijuana plants.

Foote was indicted, along with three co–defendants in July of 2011.

The three others include 51 year old, Russell Fromberg of Proctor, 51 year old Steven Hansen of Duluth, and 36 year old Craig Modean of Barnum.

Each of those men were sentenced on one count of conspiracy.

The investigation was the joint effort of the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, and the Carlton County Sheriff's Office.
