Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - With temperatures rising and the weekend upon us, dusting off your bike and taking it out for a spin may be on the top of your must–do list.
Keep in mind that according to Minnesota Law, bicycles are defined as vehicles, which means bikers must follow the same traffic laws as motorists.
Bikers must stop, yield and go at all traffic lights and use hand signals when turning.
It's also state law to ride on the far right of streets and if biking on a sidewalk, make sure you're not in a business district.
If you don't abide these rules bikers will receive a citation.
But above all, you need to be safe when getting out on the road.
