Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Some Northlanders turned a hockey game this weekend into a way to raise money for a good cause.

The Duluth Heritage Sports Center and the American Cancer Society teamed up to 'Pink the Rink.'

The goal was to raise money for the American Cancer Society as the Duluth Northern Stars girls hockey team took on Cloquet–Esko–Carlton.

Those organizing the event say they saw a lot of generosity.

"When people decide to give back, they do it in a very
big way," said the American Cancer Society's Joani Tauzell.

You can donate to the American Cancer Society at their website.
