Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) -- Police found a small amount of meth after a traffic stop this afternoon.

Duluth Police made the stop near 19th and Maryland in Superior after they determined the car was stolen.

Superior Police assisted in the arrest of the two driving the vehicle.

Police found meth inside the car and in the female driver's purse.

"When we get a call on a stolen car we look for other stolen property in the car, drugs are commonly found, sometime weapons, so vehicles are searched when recovered from being stolen," said Superior Police Chief Charles LaGesse

The incident happened just after 5 this evening; charges are pending.
