Proctor, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Students at Proctor middle school are excited to start the school year off with new iPads.
School officials are giving out 460 iPads to 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students.
Superintendent John Engelking says the district has been planning to get the iPads for the past three years.
Instead of spending more money on paper materials the school invested in the technology.
Officials say it will also enhance student learning.
"We have repurposed the whole way we are going to design our curriculum efforts, and those efforts look at digital environments and the way kids learn natively today," said Engelking.
Students will be back in the classroom with their new iPads on Tuesday.
