Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.COM) --- Organizers of the 'Stuff the Ambulance' toy drive on the Iron Range this weekend stuffed the ambulance and then some.

The toy drive started Friday and ended Sunday around 9:00 p.m.

In that time the drive brought in 1,300 toys and almost $1,000 in cash donations.

The toys will go to the Bethany Shelter in Virginia and the Virginia Salvation Army, who says that the donations from this three day toy drive are more than all other contributions last year combined.

The drive was put on by the Virginia Fire Department and several Iron Range law enforcement agencies.
