Salvation Army Kicks Off Red Kettle Campaign

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Salvation Army of Duluth launched its 2012 Christmas Red Kettle season Friday night at the Bentleyville Tour of Lights.

The Red Kettle campaign hopes to raise well over $200,000 for families in need in the Northland. Seven area businesses will host Red Kettles and bell ringers November 9th through December 24th.

The Salvation Army is also partnering up once again with Bentleyville to raise 25,000 lbs. of food and 3,000 toys this holiday season.

Food and toys received at Bentleyville will be distributed by The Salvation Army to needy families in Duluth, Cloquet, Hibbing, Chisholm, and Grand Rapids.

The Salvation Army is an international organization, serving 119 countries and 160 language groups.

Bentleyville opens to the public Saturday, November 17th at 5 p.m.
