Hermantown, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- A man was sent to the hospital Thursday afternoon after his car was rear-ended by another car, sending his vehicle into the back end of a school bus.

There were 15 to 20 Proctor students on the bus at the time of the accident.

None was reported injured.

Police say the 39-year-old Duluth man who caused the accident was texting and driving.

A different bus was sent to pick up the students to take them home.

The accident happened at the first stop on the bus route.

Police say the 39 year old Duluth man was given several citations for the accident.
