Eden Prairie, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The search continues for 24 year–old Mandy Matula...over the weekend, Stearns County authorities and community members joined in the search to help find clues as to what may have led to her disappearance.
Matula played for the UMD Bulldogs softball team from 2007 to 2011.
More than 20 alumni helped with the search over the weekend.
Each of the current Bulldog softball players also joined in the search.
Just this morning, members of the UMD softball team learned they did not make the regional championship.
Though their season has come to a close, the head coach says that will not slow their efforts to help locating Matula.
"Day by day, it's still just unbelievable to me. We really—everybody that's on our team has just become a family so, it's like losing a family member to us. And I just really hope that she'll be found soon," Jen Banford, UMD Softball Head Coach, said.
Matula has been missing since she left her family's home on May first....she was last seen with her ex–boyfriend, David Roe, who committed suicide outside of a Minnesota Police station.
