Virginia, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Firefighters helped several people escape an apartment building fire in Virginia on Thursday.

The Virginia Fire Department says people were at home in four of the building's six units when flames broke out. Firefighters came to the rescue of two people trapped due to heavy smoke.
