SUPERIOR, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) - Superiorites are taking a stand against violence.

Dozens hit the pavement today to spread the message.

It was all part of the 3rd Annual Speak-Out Superior event.

There was a new partnership helping spread the word this year.

This year CASDA merged with the UWS Gender Equity Department to put together the awareness event.

The day started outside the UWS campus for a barbeque before the group marched with signs in hand, over the Superior Government Center.

Several residents, and victims of violence spoke-out at the event.

They hoped to bring awareness that sexual assault and domestic violence are not okay under any circumstances and that anyone can become a victim.
