(SUPERIOR,WI)---Superior High School students brought football fans together today to raise money to help victims of June's flash floods.
Four seniors hosted a Tailgate to Recovery fundraising party near the University of Wisconsin Superior campus.
Dozens of football fans watched the Wisconsin-Purdue game on a big outdoor blow-up screen.
100 percent of the proceeds will be given to the Superior Douglas County Flood Relief Fund maintained by the United Way.
They say the fundraiser is a great way to give back to the community as it heals from the floods.
"To graduate, every senior has to do a senior project, so we were looking for ideas and a service learning idea was what we came up with," Brandon Gastafson, event organizer, said.
Following the game, three local bands played into the evening.
