Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Whether it's fast paced spinning classes, TRX suspension training, centering yoga, or even calming meditation "The Spot" goes hand in hand with good health, while in the other hand, you could put a nice frosty beverage.

"It's really neat to be able to have people come work out together and then be able to go down after and socialize and talk about their day and just unwind," says Instructor at The Spot, Sarah Morvcik.

The unlikely mix may seem like something that shouldn't work together, but, as in yoga, the owner says the goal is to keep balance.

"It's all about moderation. It's pretty obvious there's something called alcoholism. You can drink too much, but you could also do too much of one form of exercise. You could run too much and hurt yourself. You could do too much yoga. I've been there. So, there's a balance," says The Spot Owner, Charmaine Swan.

Besides serving alcohol, The Spot offers more to supplement healthy consumption as well.

"Juices and peanut butter protein balls from the Delta Diner, healthy snacks, and healthy treats. It's not just about drinking it's about just being together and community," continues Swan.

The bar and yoga studio combination is not only unique to Wisconsin, but is one of only two such businesses in the country with the other located in New York City.

One more element making the Northland a one of a kind place.

The Spot held its grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony this Friday and will continue the festivities into the weekend.
