BABBITT, MN (Northland's Newscenter)--Authorities still don't know what caused an explosion and fire that destroyed the Timber Wolf Lodge near Babbitt on Thursday and killed one man.

The St. Louis County Medical Examiners Office is also waiting to hear the results of lab tests to positively identify the victim.

Authorities say they believe it to be resort owner Douglas Brown.
Because the body was so badly burned, officials say they expect DNA testing will be necessary—and results could take anywhere from a couple of weeks to months.

Authorities were called to the Timber Wolf Lodge just off County Highway 21 in rural Babbitt just before three A.M on Thursday.

The entire lodge and connected living space were destroyed.

There were several guests camping at the resort campground but no one else was in the lodge at the time of the explosion.
