HIBBING, MN (Northland's NewsCenter)--Two Hibbing residents have been formally charged for their involvement in the sale and possession of meth, marijuana and synthetic marijuana.

Officials found 38 year-old David Michael Cook and 34 year-old Jackline Darlene Johnson in possession of drugs at the Hibbing Park Hotel last Friday.

The combined street value of the drugs totals more than $11,000.

The two face varying degree charges including paraphernalia, possession of controlled substances and intent to sell.

Hibbing Investigator, Richard Sellman says a drug bust like this is huge for the city of Hibbing.

"This person admitted that he was dealing this kind of stuff every two to three days," Sellman said. "He was dealing probably about $24,000 a week of methamphetamine. So to get him off the street is going to prevent some people from getting meth from him anyway."

Bail has been set for both Cook and Johnson at $50,000.
