Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) - As new generations enter the workforce, it could become difficult for supervisors to manage millennial employees.

A seminar at the University of Wisconsin Superior Tuesday hoped to tackle that subject.

The millennial generation, born between the early 1980's to the early 2000's, was raised during the advent of technology, like the internet, giving them a much different upbringing than many of their supervisors in older generations.

Speaker Brad Gingras, Chief Operating Officer for CEP Incorporated, says it's important to focus on similarities between the generations rather than differences.

"By understanding the generation a little bit further, understanding their characteristics, you can find ways to empower them and to really see what makes them tick for the benefit of your workplace," Gingras said.
