Update: Police Searching for Suspect in Dollar Tree Robbery

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Police are looking for a suspect involved in a robbery Wednesday night at the Dollar Tree store in West Duluth.

Duluth Police were called to the Dollar Tree Store at 215 North Central Avenue on the report of a robbery around 9pm Wednesday night.

An initial investigation revealed that a male suspect came up to the counter to allegedly pay for an item, but when the clerk opened the register, the suspect allegedly tried to grab the money from the register.

Police say the clerk fought with the suspect, however the man was able to grab the money and fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police say they are looking for a suspect with the following description:

- Black male, clean shaven
- 35-40 years old
- 5’8”-5’10”
- Heavy Build
- Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red design and black pants.
