Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) If you were walking along the Lakewalk in Duluth Thursday, you may have noticed something a bit peculiar.
Dozens of young Duluthians, dressed up as zombies, took to the streets to show off their makeup.
Through a completely viral marketing campaign, organizers of the event used Facebook, twitter, and text messaging to get the word out for people to join in on the zombie walk.
This is the second annual 'Zombie Walk' and organizers hope the tradition carries on long after they're done with it.
"I really hope people take away an experience and also stories to share with people. I hope they have a really good time and I hope they come back next year. We're hoping to turn this into a regular Duluth event that goes on even after we're done with it, hopefully."
More than one hundred zombies walked around Duluth in last year's event.
This year, more people R.S.V.P.'d on Facebook, but only 85 were able to participate.
