Edward Joseph Lashyro, 82, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, in the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay.
Edward was born July 6, 1929, in Scranton, Pa. He married Marilyn Lott April 8, 1952, in Hibbing. After returning from the service, Edward and Jean moved to Silver Bay.
He was a member of the V.F.W. and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother John; and sister Marion.
Edward is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean; sons Edward (Mary) of Silver Bay, Jeff (Theresa) of Crosby, and Gary (Nana) of Beaverton, Ore; grandchildren Shannon (Jason) Bryan, Christina (Mike) Patras, Codi (Chase) Lashyro, Katie (Josh) Aldinger, and Hannah and Emma Lashyro; great-granddaughters Addison and Ariana Bryan, and Ivy Aldinger.
Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. Christian Mass Monday, Oct. 31, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Silver Bay.
