Boua Xiong covers the Iron Range. She joined the Northland’s NewsCenter in May 2009.

Boua graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2008 with a degree in journalism. She has worked in print, radio and television. Her work has been recognized with several awards, including an Emmy nomination.

She was born in a refugee camp in Thailand. Her family resettled in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where they still reside today. She is the oldest of eight children and loves being a part of a big family.
